Arch Brewing closing their Newmarket Location but will continue to brew beer

Newmarket, Ontario – Arch Brewing announced today that they will be closing the doors to their brewery at 110 Pony Drive in Newmarket for now as they will return to their original business model as a contract brewer. They are partnering with a larger brewery to fulfill growth of their brand.

Their last day at Pony Drive will be on January 21st. Come out and enjoy a pint with them at the brewery!

Below is the post from Arch Brewing’s website.

Friends and beer family, we have an announcement!

Arch Brewing is leaping into 2020 with some huge and exciting (albeit bittersweet) news. For the past 4 years, we have loved brewing exceptional beer on a small scale in a boutique space. Despite our love of everything tiny, we are taking some massive leaps this year, including the volume of beer we brew. That’s why, for the near future, we are returning to our original business model of being a contract brewery, and partnering with a brewery that has larger equipment. Our small space on Pony Drive is simply too small for what we have planned in 2020 and beyond. To facilitate our growth, we’ve sold our building to a very cool real estate company, and all of the fun stuff in it has been sold to another brewery to enjoy. We feel so blessed to be a part of the future for these two companies.

We also feel blessed to have met such a fantastic group of friends through this venture. It is amazing how much we laughed and how many solutions were worked through simply by talking over beers. Thank you.

To everyone, we are sorry that we will not have Pony Dr as a meeting place. The future may bring us back to having a bricks and mortar location. Until then, there are so many other great locations in northern York Region that serve great craft beer.

Quick note, if you have an empty keg, please return it, and if you are in the growler club, please come and finish it up, and say goodbye.
Tuesday, January 21 will be our last open day at Pony Dr..
