Toronto, Ontario – Are you ready for the 2016 Toronto Beer Week? September 16th kicks off the week long party that is shaping up to be one heck of a week.
Toronto Beer Week (TBW) is a collective series of events dedicated to the celebration and advancement of the craft beer movement. TBW showcases authentically brewed and flavourful beer, the talented brewers who create them, and the licensees who proudly support them.
The week kicks off on Thursday at Berkeley Church with The Beer Experience and then the Toronto Beer Week Launch & Indie Ale House Tap Takeover at the Summerhill LCBO on Friday. This year’s TWB beer “The Interloper” will be officially launched at the Summerhill LCBO with Toronto Mayor John Tory and local craft brewers there to toast the launch of the TBW beer. The Interloper is a barrel-aged modern take on the farmhouse saison. Like Toronto, it’s a complex mix of cultural influences and tastes, resulting in a rich flavour and an amazing depth that can be enjoyed by all.
This marks the second time a beer has been launched for Toronto Beer Week at the LCBO.
There will be everything from tap takeovers to pub crawls and more. Whether you’re a new or seasoned craft beer drinker this week has so much to offer. Here are some events that will take the city by storm: C’est What’s 29th Annual Festival Of Canadian Craft Breweries, Junction Craft & Beau’s present BEAMS Live at 3030, Steam Whistle Brewing Oktoberfest, Annual Toronto Beer Week Danforth Pub Crawl, Open House at Big Rock Brewery, Famous Canadian Beer Run, Steam Whistle’s meet the Makers tour, Golden Tap Awards, Samuel Adams For The Love Of Beer with Jim Koch and the 2nd Annual Great Lakes Brewery Pig Roast to finish off the week.
