Ottawa, Ontario – Big Rig Brewery will serve as the Official Brewery of Red Bull Global Rallycross Ottawa, coming to the Canada Aviation and Space Museum this June 17-18. As part of the partnership, Big Rig Brewery will sponsor the Supercar Pole Award on both Saturday and Sunday, with the fastest qualifiers each receiving a $2,000 payout.
“We are thrilled to be the Official Brewery for this inaugural Canadian event,” says Lon Ladell, Big Rig Brewery co-owner and brewmaster. “This is the most exciting series in the world, and Big Rig is looking forward to celebrating with Red Bull all the GRC fans throughout the weekend.”
During Red Bull GRC qualifying sessions, each driver makes two laps around the track in order to post the fastest possible time, with additional qualifying runs made after each driver has had a chance to drive the track. The fastest qualifier receives the inside line to start their first-round heat, and can continue to maintain the advantage as long as they win subsequent heat races.
Two-time Supercar champion Tanner Foust enters Red Bull GRC Ottawa with three consecutive poles, winning his first in Louisville and sweeping the New England poles last week. Both Foust (New England I) and Scott Speed (Memphis) have won main events from the pole this season.
Big Rig Brewery is dedicated to pure craftsmanship using only the best quality ingredients. Big Rig Brewery takes great pride in reinventing the classics and crafting the future, and we do it all For the Love of Beer. Alongside its Pole Award sponsorship, Big Rig Brewery will also have a presence at Red Bull GRC Ottawa in GRC Club, and will be the official beer supplier on-site at the event.
