Vaughan, Ontario – Lake Wilcox Brewing Company (LWB), is proud to announce its partnership as the official Craft Beer sponsor of the Toronto Rock, a 6-time Championship Team of the National Lacrosse League (NLL) who play all home games at the Scotiabank arena for the 2018-19 season.
The sponsorship opportunity for the 2018-19 season was presented to Lake Wilcox Brewing’s owner David De Ciantis and his team in the fall, giving the beloved brand an opening into the world of Professional Sports team sponsorship. “Partnerships like this are usually reserved for the big guys, it was an opportunity we could not pass up.” commented De Ciantis on the decision. The company with its award winning beers, is in its third year in business and has made significant strides in promoting the brand and pushing distribution in the standard channels.
The sponsorship coincides with the launch of their Oomph Lager this fall into The Beer Store and LCBO locations all across Southern Ontario; a co-branded product with Toronto entertainment personality Todd Shapiro of the Todd Shapiro Show on SiriusXM and minority stake holder at LWB. “Oomph Lager is an easy drinking blond lager that is dry hopped and partially filtered, a great beer for watching the game.” states De Ciantis.
