Newmarket, Ontario – Over the last 3 years York Region has seen a spike in craft brewery’s that now call the region home and in May one more brewery will be opening their doors. Market Brewing Company will be in soft launch mode starting in May and will call 17775 Leslie Street in Newmarket home.
Shane McCarthy, Founder/President of Market Brewing and his partner hired experienced brewer Ethan Allured as their Head Brewer, Allured has worked most recently for Coal Harbour Brewing in Vancouver.
The Leslie Street location will feature a 3000 sq.ft tap room with 150 seats and will hold approximately 220 people. When the patio is complete it will be 1000 sq.ft and will be located on the south side of the building.
The tap room will feature 12 taps with their beers rotating thru and potentially some guest taps. As of right now their three core brands are Beswick (Lager), Bear Hug (IPA) and Flee to Pennsylvania (Wit) which can be found at select bars and restaurants. Watch for Bear Hug (IPA) at grocery stores starting next month in 473ml cans. When the brewery is open you will be able to purchase growlers, 473ml cans, pints on tap and brewery merchandise as well. Tours will also be available at the brewery.
On March 23rd Market Brewing will be hosting a Brand Launch Party at Hungry Brew Hops with their beers on tap and prizes and giveaways during the evening.
