Guelph, Ontario – This spring Wellington Brewery will be making some changes to how they package their beer. In the coming month they will be exclusively packaging cans for all of their year-round brands. They will be phasing out 355ml bottles of SPA and County Brown Ale – both brands will continue to be available in 473ml cans.
Over the years they’ve used many different packaging formats including “Bag In Box” cask ale boxes back in the late 1980’s, PET bottles in the 90’s, refillable 341ml bottles in the late 90’s and 2000’s, and more recently 355ml bottles.
There are a few different reasons for the change with product quality being on top of their list.
