Beau’s earns 8 new awards for beer, business practices and package design

Ottawa, Ontario – Beau’s All Natural has put an octet of new feathers in its cap over the past week, culminating with a Gold medal for Lug Tread Lagered Ale as well as two Bronze medals at the 12th annual Canadian Brewing Awards (CBAs) held last Saturday in Fredericton, New Brunswick. The bronzes went to Wild Oats release The Bottle Imp in the Imperial Stout category, and to Two Weeks’ Notice in the Wood-&-Barrel-Aged category. This is the fourth time Lug 2014 - Canadian Brewing AwardsTread has won Gold in the Kolsch category at the CBAs, and brings to 12 the total number of CBAs awarded to Beau’s since 2010.

Beau’s was also honoured last Wednesday evening in Toronto at the 2014 LCBO “Elsies” awards, where the local craft brewery received a medal for its Environmental Commitment, as well being named LCBO Small-Company Supplier of the Year. An annual industry awards program in its 20th year, the Elsies are held to honour the LCBO’s suppliers and agents for their innovation, creativity, customer service and social responsibility.

These awards come on the heels of the recent announcement of the 2014 Applied Arts Magazine Awards for excellence in packaging design. Beau’s was once again a winner in the Wine-Beer-Spirits category, for three different projects: the Lug Tread 12-pack, the past year’s Wild Oats Series beers, and the 2014 LCBO Feature Series (a Mesopotamian-themed collection of hand-wrapped barrel-aged beers).

“It’s a great feeling to have our beer winning national awards, while at the same time being recognized for our outstanding marketing and business practices,” says brewery co-founder Steve Beauchesne. “You get a real sense that everyone at the brewery is giving their all, and you get inspired to keep that momentum going.”

With the addition of these eight new awards, Beau’s All Natural now sits at a grand total of 66 awards and accolades garnered since opening its doors on July 1, 2006.
