Vankleek Hill, Ontario – Beau’s Brewing Co. has a brand-new offering for craft beer fans in Ontario and Quebec. Lug Tread 2.5% is a low alcohol lagered ale that riffs on the award-winning recipe of Beau’s flagship Lug Tread. At only 2.5% alcohol, it slides neatly into a category that suits business lunches or social occasions when a low-alcohol beer is preferred. Beau’s co-founder Steve Beauchesne is excited about bringing this innovative recipe to market. “This is no watered down, bland ‘lite’ beer. We’ve put time and care into developing this recipe, and we’re super happy with the results. This is a low alcohol beer that actually tastes like craft beer.”
Lug Tread 2.5% pours a light gold with white foam. A blend of barley and wheat malts delivers fresh grain/cereal flavour and satisfying mouthfeel. Mild herbal and orchard fruit notes lead into a clean lager finish. Refreshingly light and crisp, it pairs wonderfully with aromatic spices such as lemongrass, ginger, garlic, or cilantro; or mild appetizers like spring rolls or salads.
Lug Tread 2.5% will be joining Beau’s portfolio of year-round brands, and is available now in single 473 ml cans at select LCBOs, and the Beau’s online store. It will also feature in the new winter edition of The Beau’s Mix, a six-pack sampler coming this November.
