Guelph’s local brewers team up to launch the 1st annual Guelph.Beer Day

Guelph, Ontario – Guelph’s local brewers have teamed up to launch the 1st annual Guelph.Beer Day on Saturday November 16th. 

Guelph.Beer Day will celebrate Guelph’s unique local beer culture by encouraging everyone of legal drinking age to raise a glass of locally crafted beer on Saturday November 16th. People can take part in the festivities on social media by using #GuelphBeerDay hashtag or by jumping on the final run of the Guelph.Beer Bus for 2019.  

The Guelph.Beer Bus will provide free transportation on Saturday November 16th from 12-6pm with a special Guelph Transit route that stops at each of Guelph’s local breweries including: Brothers, Fixed Gear, Wellington, Sleeman, and Royal City. The bus will also include stops at The Fat Duck and in front of the Delta Hotel at Stone and Gordon. Details and a schedule for the Guelph.Beer Bus can be found at

To mark Guelph.Beer Day each brewery will be launching a small-batch beer or hosting a special event. The inaugural Guelph.Beer Day will include: 

  • Wellington Brewery will be releasing Crispy Forever, a double dry-hopped variation of their award-winning Helles Lager which will be available for a limited time. 
  • Royal City Brewing will be releasing a collaboration beer made with the Guelph Grotto to mark their 25th anniversary. 
  • Sleeman Brewing will be sampling their new Harvest Rye Lager and offering free tours.
  • Brothers Brewing will be releasing HellFire, a Cayenne Pepper Stout available throughout the winter months.

Guelph.Beer Day will also feature a media kick-off and photo opportunity at 11:45 AM at Brothers Brewery on Saturday November 16th. Local brewery owners and brewmasters will be in attendance to mark the official start of Guelph Beer Day.
