Every Friday in March, women beer experts hosted a series of virtual guided samplings and discussions exploring different topics and themes in the world of craft beer. This year’s topics included a beer trivia and games night, a beer cocktail-making workshop, a delicious night of beer, cheese & chocolate pairing and a roundtable discussion with craft beer industry experts.
“We are thrilled to announce our fundraising efforts for March events totaling $6,500 which pushes us past the $50,000 mark over the last 8 years of hosting events to raise money for Guelph Wellington Women In Crisis.” says Queen of Craft Founder and Organizer, Karyn Boscariol.
The success of this program was aided with a beer specifically brewed by Wellington Brewery with a donation from the sale of each can, as well as custom t-shirts that were sold with 100% profits donated to the organization. Many Ontario craft breweries donated beer to these events and all keynote speakers donated their time in order to help increase the final donation total.
Queen of Craft is planning to host more virtual events as long as social restrictions are in place, and are looking forward to in-person events when it’s safe to do so. More information available at queenofcraft.ca
