THIRTY: Full Cask Lineup & Details Announced

Guelph, ON – One of Canada’s original craft brewers will be celebrating 30 years of craft brewing with a 2-day cask beer festival next weekend. With just a week to go until the celebrations, Wellington Brewery has announced the full cask lineup featuring 75 unique beers and ciders.

The weekend festivities will feature 50 Welly One-Off and year-round cask beers from the crew at Wellington Brewery as well as 10 collaboration casks brewed with fellow Ontario Craft Brewers such as Great Lakes, Royal City, Block 3, Maclean’s Ales, and more.

The beer lineup will also include a well-curated selection of 10 guest casks including selections from Beau’s, Black Oak, Elora Brewing, Muskoka Brewery, Amsterdam Brewery, and more. And for anyone looking for something a little different, the lineup will include 5 cider selections from Revel Cider, Pommies Cider, and West Avenue Cider. The full cask list is available here.

THIRTY will feature 3 sessions: two sessions on Saturday, September 26th, 2015 and one session on Sunday, September 27th, 2015. Each session will include food trucks, live music, DJ’s, and a half-time sideshow from the Monsters of Schlock.

As the brewery celebrates this historic milestone by becoming Canada’s first independently owned microbrewery to celebrate 30 years of craft brewing, they will be releasing a small-batch commemorative anniversary ale to coincide with the celebrations. A limited release of “30th Anniversary Ale” will be available in 750mL swing-top bottles from the brewery next weekend and at LCBO locations across the province in the coming weeks.

“It’s a big moment for Ontario Craft Beer” says Wellington Brewery General Manager Sarah Dawkins, “We’re looking forward to celebrating our 30th anniversary with friends, family, and craft beer drinkers who’ve helped us reach this milestone.”

Tickets for each session are $20 + tax and service charge and are available now via Ticketfly. Each ticket includes an 8oz sampling glass, 2 drink tokens, a commemorative program guide, and local shuttle bus transportation.

A portion of the proceeds from THIRTY will go to support the Children’s Foundation of Guelph and Wellington.
